We are so excited to help celebrate your love story. We love to hear all about you and your fiance, your planning, and all the important sweet memories that you want to be captured.
At Kate Styles Photography we are all about barefoot dancing in the grass, the little details, heirlooms from grandparents and family members, lots of laughter, and of course love! All wedding experience packages come with an in-studio engagement or bridal portrait session, 6-hours of coverage, two photographers, and fully edited digital files in an online gallery. We would love to get to know you better and discuss the details of your big day!

OUR CONSULTATION
After you contact us, we will send a quick questionnaire to learn more about you and your wedding. Then, let’s hop on a Zoom call to get to know each other! I can share my screen to show you wedding galleries and a sample proposal. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
I work with a lot of couples from out of state who plan destination weddings in Virginia, and Virginia couples who plan destination weddings far and wide. We are experienced at the proactive communication that makes your day work, no matter where!
After we meet, it's time to book and reserve your date! YAY!
To move forward with booking and we will send you your contract and invoice. This is all done online and is super easy! We will also send you a questionnaire that helps us get to know you and your fiance as a couple and what things are most important to you both. This is also the time to decide on and schedule any engagement sessions, bridal sessions, or boudoir sessions!
We love details! We will chat and work out all of the planning and details for your wedding day in the months leading up. We will meet virtually (or in-person) to discuss any final details, questions, or concerns you have! Need help with planning your timeline? We will be happy to chat and send you our easy to use template, just let us know! 4-6 weeks before your big day we will send a Day of Details questionnaire and we will ask for a final day of timeline. This is the order of events and when everything is happening, as well as, any additional important schedule information.

We STRONGLY encourage 2 photographers, so we can ensure everything has been captured between two very different areas and lenses!
Is a good photographer worth it for a wedding?
These are the images that you come back to for GENERATIONS. We love to combine luxury and easy investments for you. In short, YES, its VERY worth it -- especially to us!
Do you tip wedding photographers?
We crack up at this question, while we love an extra thank you -- its never expected or required!
How much is a wedding photographer in Richmond?
Honestly, that depends! You could find a photographer for $500 or $25,000. It’s like saying, ‘How much does a meal cost?’ You could find a meal for a few dollars at a fast food drive-thru or a few hundred dollars at a nice restaurant. The quality of the meal is likely very different, and so would the experience you’d have while eating the meal. A good wedding planner is always a great place to start with questions like this. They can help you establish a budget that works for you, and they’ll also be able to assist you with finding vendors you love who are in your price range.
