What really happens at a boudoir shoot? At Kate Styles Photography, I can promise you — a luxury, fine art, all soul searching, mind changing, and beautiful experience.
We will chat before your session, to ensure myself and my team are on the same page for your session. We want to be sure we are photographing you in the best way. If you want to be a sweet French lady, painted with light, or a beautiful fine art nude portrait. We will chat to be sure we know exactly what you are looking for, and we can have our plan ready for the day.
One thing I will tell you is that I keep the studio at a comfortable temperature so you feel comfortable too.
Secondly, we keep wine and snacks because we encourage the calming of our nerves at 10am!
When you arrive at the studio we will have hair and make up team is ready for you, as well as some clothing pulled from our client wardrobe closet so you have options for your session. You DO NOT need to bring any make up with you, as our team will have everything for you. You simply come with a clean and dry face and we will take care of everything else! Our make up team is incredible with matching tones, bringing out the best colors in your eyes, lips, cheeks and skin.
After our hair and makeup team completes your transformation, we will move into looking over your wardrobe, and which outfits would look best with your body shape. What colors would look on your skin tone. We want to tailor you to ensure you look the best you ever have, and show off your curves in the best light. You can be as covered or as naked as you would like during your session. You can grab out of our client wardrobe, full of fabric, sheets, body suits, belts, even shoes! Or feel free to rock out a fine art nude, jeans and no top, or oversized sweater. All of these are great ideas on outfits! Even a pair of high waisted spanks look amazing, and some of my favorites to show off curves.
During your session we will have different backdrops, lighting, and I will guide you through all of your poses, while our hype team ensures you are feeling radiant, confident, and each curl is in place during your session. My assistant and I will constantly be fixing your hair, your posing, and making sure your are perfectly in place for your shoot to go beautifully.
My goal is to make you feel completely at ease during your session. I will take care of everything from start to finish, and the more open and honest you are with me, the better we make your session. I promise, I totally expect you to be nervous, but believe me when I say we got this! I would be nervous if you weren’t nervous!
Boudoir photo shoots are truly what fuel my soul, because not only are we enhancing your appearance on the outside, but we are also focusing on the inside. I will ask you what you love most about yourself…what do you see yourself doing with your life. What are your goals, dreams, and visions. I want to get to know the woman underneath all of this, because I know we are creating magazine worthy portraits, we are celebrating the worthy woman you are. Some boudoir photographers will focus on the sexual aspect of your shoot, but in my studio,
And here is perhaps where the biggest YES THANK YOU, I will literally show you your pose by physically getting into it, I got you babe. Like: lean on your arm here, move up your legs here, arch your back here, tilt your head this way, look over that way. I promise I am the queen of posing, and do not expect you to pose yourself. This takes so much of the uncertainty out of it.
This whole thing is so fun, like stupiiddddd fun girl. You will walk out with so much joy and happines. A new love for your body thanks to this boudoir photo shoot.
